According to Wikipaedia, on 2nd October 2009, the FBI announced the arrest of a Chicago, IL, area suspect. Michael David Barrett, 48,  who now faces federal charges of interstate stalking for taking the videos of Erin Andrews, posting the videos online and trying to sell them to celebrity Web site TMZ.com.
According to investigators seven of the eight videos of Erin Andrews posted online were taken through a modified door peephole while Andrews was alone and undressed in hotel rooms in Nashville, Tenn., in September 2008.
Investigators  think that the eighth video was taken in Milwaukee in July of 2008. According to the FBI complaint, Barrett tried to sell the videos to TMZ.com via an email, but an employee there told Andrews’ attorneys. FBI agents matched information in the e-mail to Barrett.
On December 15, 2009, Barrett pleaded guilty to the interstate stalking charge, and faces up to five years in prison when he is sentenced in February 2010.

According to www.nydailynews.com  the peephole pervert who shot the Erin Andrews nude videos  and put them online started his stalking spree months earlier.

It appears that Michael David Barrett, 48, called seven different hotels in Columbus, Ohio, in January 2008 to find the broadcast beauty and set up shop in an adjacent room, new court documents reveal.

He then altered the peephole device on Andrews’ door and began shooting without her knowledge on February 5, 2008, prosecutors claim.

Authorities previously accused Barrett of surreptitiously filming Andrews through peepholes at hotels in Milwaukee and Nashville in July and September of 2008.

They say he posted one of his videos to a Google Video account in February 2009 under the title “Erin Andrews Naked Butt.”

A few days later, the documents released Wednesday say, he published videos on a French website, labeling one of them “Sexy and Hot Blonde Sports celebrity shows us her all.”
